Biography
A ‘serial-achiever’ Tee has an impressive track record as an educator and motivator, starting her career in education, moving through three promotions in quick succession and a year’s secondment to the prestigious Laban Centre to becoming the youngest person in the UK to be appointed to train teachers. Tee then rose to the top in the health and fitness industry where she spent eight years as a sponsored Nike Athlete, became the first AFAA Certification Specialist in Europe, was nominated Fitness Leader of the UK and co-wrote ‘The Crunch’, a fitness book that was a best seller in 28 countries.
Tee was part of the training company Impact Factory for thirteen years, four at Director level. During her time here she created a huge library of work, designed and delivered programmes for an extensive client list and became the company's most successful income generator for seven years running. Tee had a key role in the extensive process of training Impact Factory's Executive Coaches and Partners, two of whom now run Aspire-Leadership where tee has joined as a director. In 2007 Eversheds awarded Tee ‘Trainer of the Year’.
Tee has impressive experience of designing and leading a variety of training programmes throughout local and central government as well across the corporate arena and with small business and charities, this includes three years of designing, co-ordinating and lecturing on ILM management courses.
In 2008 Tee joined LazyTown the global children’s entertainment company, and spent five enjoyable months working between Iceland and the UK before the Icelandic banking crisis meant the new division she was leading closed. Tee loved her Winter working in Reykjvik (in December everybody goes outside during the few hours of daylight, whatever they are doing, so meetings and conversations were often held standing in the snow with Tee the only one wearing hat, scarf and gloves - the Icelanders being much more hardy!) Coming back to the UK in the middle of the recession was hard (no job, a huge tax bill, an expensive lease on a Mercedes convertible and a potential confidence collapse to deal with) but she survived and now talks about her recovery in her talk 'Who Dares Wins'.
Personally Tee is passionate about confidence, both having and sharing it. She spent years perfecting a unique method to help people communicate and present with increased confidence and make the impact they want in every area of their working and personal lives. To underpin this work she devised and led a four-year mentoring programme to help raise confidence and achievement levels for school children. The programme was commended as Outstanding by Ofsted and was adopted by the school on a permanent basis. Tee is continuing this work through her diversity and inclusion talks.
