Is it a bird, is it a plane…

Is it a bird, is it a plane…
Wearing a specially created A-board, Boo the Doberman and Gemma Porter (dressed as a Red Arrow and wearing roller-skates) of Parliament Speakers have been turning heads in Bournemouth to highlight the event on Friday August 21 at the Pier Theatre.

The event in aid of Round Table Children’s Wish takes place during this year’s Bournemouth Air Festival.  It’s hosted by former Olympian and World Champion Derek Redmond and provides a unique opportunity to find out more about the pilots and ask them some burning questions.

Gemma said: “Boo is owned by a member of our team, she usually wears a special backpack when she’s walked with a couple of small bottles of water in it to give her more of a workout, but this seemed a great opportunity to do something a bit different.

“Judging by the response we get from people, canine advertising could well be the way forward.  We’re making people laugh and letting them know about a brilliant charity event at the same time.”

The show, organised by Parliament Speakers, starts at 8pm and those who arrive early will have a chance to have their photos taken with the pilots and Derek Redmond.

An after show party takes place in Key West Bar and will feature a prize draw, special Red Arrows cocktails, a barbecue and hog roast as well as music from Samba Panashe, beach games, competitions with prizes donated by local businesses and music until 2am from Fire Radio DJ Jay Rachet.

Tickets can be purchased in advance: £12 for the show (£10 for children under 12) and £20 for the show and after party. Subject to availability tickets will also be sold on the night for £14.50 (£10 for children under 12) and £8 for the after party (over 18s only).
