Cracknell is Back on the Circuit

Double Olympic gold medallist and motivational speaker, James Cracknell, is determined to carry on cycling, despite being involved in a life-threatening accident in July. The athlete, who suffered near-fatal head injuries when his bike was hit by a truck during his attempt to cycle, row and run across the United States, is already keen to get back in the saddle and has said the experience has not put him off cycling in the slightest.
James is certainly no stranger to danger; the athlete, who won two gold medals rowing for Great Britain, has already undertaken a huge range of physical endurance challenges in the name of charity. He and his former team-mate, T.V’s Ben Fogle, have attempted to row across the Atlantic, race to the South Pole and ride a rickshaw from Edinburgh to London. Over the years, James has raised huge amounts of money for good causes, undertaking such challenges as rowing The Channel, cycling down through France and Spain and swimming The Strait of Gibraltar, accompanied by comedian David Walliams.
Although he accepts that there is still some recovery to be made, James has said he doesn’t feel any hindrance that will keep him from his activities, and doctors are apparently amazed at how well he has recovered after mere months. Though still in recovery, James is hardly resting idly; he is already planning to attempt to break the record for biking from Canada to Mexico in the future, and has been helping to launch ‘School Olympics’ at the recent Conservative Party conference.
James is once again available for motivational speaking engagements. To book, please call: 01202 242424
