Conference Awards 2010

28 June 2010

Conference Awards 2010

The Conference Awards 2010 took place on 25th June at The Artillery Gardens in the City.  The superb venue was enhanced by the fantastic staging and production, while the only detail left to chance was for the sun to shine upon 400 key people from the conference industry.

Expectations were high, as one would expect, when professionals from the industry organise an event for the industry!  Parliament arranged for Ruby Wax to host the inaugural awards.  It was a courageous decision for Ruby to accept the invitation, having to face the most informed group of guests one could imagine, mainly her prospective clients.  She did not disappoint, getting everyone laughing and cheering as she gave the conference industry the Wax treatment.

The wine and the awards seemed to flow effortlessly as Ruby cracked jokes and competitors generously applauded their rivals for their successes.

Nic Picot and Tim Shoesmith added to the magic of the occasion with close up performances perfected in the greatest magic clubs around the world. Music was also abundant with performances from The Three Waiters, Stringfever and Family Funk.

Parliament would like to congratulate all the winners, those who came close, the organisers, Rory Ross Russell, Claire Wormsley, Juliet Gamblen, Julie Davidson and the team who gave the conference industry the recognition it deserves and gave us a first class event to enjoy.
