Award winning freelance journalist, former BBC Education Correspondent and conference speaker Mike Baker was sadly diagnosed with terminal lung cancer in April 2011. His ‘Cancer Blog’ documenting his experiences with the disease has brought inspiration to many and now he’s set himself a huge challenge to raise money for an excellent cause.
Beginning with conventional treatments, Mike has since shifted mostly to complementary medicine, as he strongly believes patients should have both options, not either or. A cycling fan, Mike is joining The Ride (see www.theride.org.uk) for Yes to Life because it is dedicated to raising the awareness of diet and exercise in cancer treatments. He'll be cycling with them for 3 days (24th-26th July), covering 156 miles from Porthmerion to to Cardiff. Please donate any money you can spare to Mike’s
